But don’t panic it’s not a real donkey! In fact the animal is made from fibreglass and resin and has been painted by local artist Nina Kleinzeller who was inspired to dress him in a 1930s style bathing suit.
The donkeys are part of a project to celebrate 80 years of tourism in Western and to celebrate the reopening of Weston-super-Mare which was damaged by a fire in 2008. Jacqui Mills, of Bristol Airport, said: “It’s an unusual way to welcome passengers, but it seems appropriate in a year when we celebrate our 80th birthday and 200 years of tourism in Weston. We have called him George after Prince George, who opened Bristol Airport at its original Whitchurch site in 1930.”

Instead of visiting the Costa del Sol passengers were forced to stay on board the P&O cruise ship Azura for the day. The only consolation for missing their visit to the south of Spain was the fact they had Ronnie Corbett on board to keep them entertained.

Speaking to the Daily Star last week plumbers WAG Lucy Vyse, whose husband Dave earns in excess of £150,000 per year, told of her £60,000 wedding four annual holidays in Dubai and luxury holiday home in Spain.

Lucy, who doesn’t work, stays at home and looks after the couples three Children enjoys a comfortable lifestyle “We live in a nice house and drive nice cars. We eat out at least three times a week and the kids wear designer clothes”

With such affluent chaps knocking around it seems that footballers may have some competition when it comes to impressing the ladies!

A local man found the dog but was unable to locate the owner so instead reported it to the local newspaper, the Buckinghamshire Advertiser, a local estate agent read the article and got in touch with the owners daughter who was able to contact her mother who was then able to collect  the dog.
