A recent survey by online holiday website sunshine.co.uk revealed some of the most bizarre complaints made by holidaymakers this year.

Some of the highlights included…

  • A British family that told of their distress at the sunny weather in Portugal and complained that they were too “hot and sweaty” in their holiday clothes. Try wear shorts and a t-shirt!
  • One irritated man complained at the number of plain black suitcases on the airport carousel, making it difficult for him to find his own plain black suitcase! He should have got one of those bright pink bands to put around it!

I couldn’t help noticing this little story about a Scottish tourist who claims to have spotted a UFO during a recent holiday in Benalmadena!

Raymond Meyer, of Guardbridge, near St Andrews, Fife, was in his hotel room at the Hotel Siroco in Benalmadena when he saw the object a few hundred yards away.

Mr Meyer said: “I filmed the object from my room balcony on Saturday September 12 at 8.45pm.

“I had watched the object for about five minutes before getting my camcorder and recording it.

“After I had recorded the sequence the object drifted towards me, turned on its end then went vertically up until it disappeared from view.

A boxer dog recently found living in a Taunton car park has been traced back to the Malaga in the Costa del Sol. Ten year old Angel was discovered in a B&Q car park on July 13th and has been taken in by the RSPCA centre in West Hatch.

Although she may have been brought into the country legally staff at the centre believe that Angel probably found her way into Britain on a lorry that would have taken her on a jounrey from Spain through France and into southern England.
