Ryanair have announced that they will reduce the number of flights they operate between Dublin Airport in Ireland and Malaga Airport in Spain. The news comes following a decision by the Irish government to charge a new tax of €10 per passenger. The exact reduction is still to be confirmed but will not occur until July when Ryanair will move one fifth of their Dublin based planes to other airports.

Two would-be burglars fled from a house in AlhaurÃn el Grande after being scared off by the homes owners and a couple that were with them. The incident happened last Wednesday in the Camino Borrajo area of the town when the two men attempted to rob the houses cleaner before being scared off by the occupants. The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation into the incident.

A woman in Malaga has complained to the ‘Servicio de Consumo’ association after shoes she brought from a Malaga shop gave her nasty rash. The shoes have been taken off the shelves and sent to Madrid for analysis. In a similar incident 190 pairs of shoes were recently seized in Benalmadena after 63 pairs were found to contain dimethyl fumarate. Dimethyl fumarate prevents mould forming and is used as a fungicide. It can cause extreme allergic reactions when it comes in contact with the skin.

The first illegally built townhouse on the Golf RÃo Real complex has been demolished after failing to ensure a municipal license was granted for the property. The golf resort home is one of 34 built on the complex and serves as a warning to anyone buying a holiday home in the Costa del Sol – make sure it has all the required licensees.

A British couple holidaying in the Costa del Sol had a lucky escape earlier this week when their hire car sped of the road and fell 30ft before hitting an apartment block. The couple miraculously managed to escape injury, but the porch of the building was destroyed and the car was written off. Take a look at the images here.

The Costa del Sol region of Spain is set for a €5.6million clean up as part of a new initiative by the Spanish government. The Costa del Sol is renowned for beautiful beaches and golden skies and the new clean up will ensure that the beaches continue to look great for years to come. Part of the scheme will involve bringing in new sand to the beaches in Torrox, Chilches, Rincón de la VictorÃa, Málaga, Benalmádena, Marbella and Estepona.

A British man has been arrested on the Costa del Sol for attempting to open fire on a civil guard how caught him urinating in the street. The man is aledged to have pulled the trigger on the hand gun twice, but the gun jammed and the man was arrested for attempted murder. The incident happened in the town of Alhaurin el Grande near Marbella at around 8pm on Monday night.
