I couldn’t help but enjoy reading this little article about the ‘gold rush’ of buying holiday homes in the sun experienced by many Brits for most of this decade. Despite the current climate it reminds us of the popularity of the Costa del Sol in both boom and bust times.
It also comes as some reassurance that the market will eventually pick up and hopefully sooner rather that later. There is no doubt that the Costa del Sol has been a victim of the economic downturn like all popular holiday resorts, however it has not seen the same decline in tourism levels experienced by some popular holiday destination. If tourism picks up it will certainly have a positive effect on the local property market.
